Ryan and Victoria’s Grand Day Out

We met in South Ken
On a brisk winter’s day
The architecture in that part of town
Always takes my breath away

We walked up to the Albert Hall
But couldn’t get in for lunch
It turned out it was Starbucks
So we’d escaped a nasty munch

Hyde Park was in its winter splendour
The water was icy blue
Finally we found the Orangery
And got a table for me and you

In the grandest of settings
We sat down to dine
The food was rather scrumptious
So we stayed there a long time

By the time we had some jasmine tea
We spoke of burning desires
The Moon had risen in the sky
Only thing missing was a Christmas choir

The struggle to get out of the Park
Took us past every Embassy
We took the chance to visit Nepal
And did so carbon-free

With smoothies and skincare products
We were in our ethical heaven
The wonder of Joseph and Joseph
It was like we were eleven!

Eating tapas in the heat
I was transported to Seville
Even though we were in Clapham
I have to say it was a thrill

We finished off the day
In the pub with my friend
Then it was time to head back home
Such a pity the day had to end.
